Annual Clayton-Union County Legislative Luncheon
"Barbeque in January" The luncheon is from 11am-1:30pm at the Inn and Spa at Loretto in Santa Fe, NM. Old Western Dance
Children Kindergarten through 6th grade compete in this western dance competition. Prizes given for best costumes and dancers. Public dance is held after the competition. It is held at the Clayton Civic Center.

Parade to honor our Iraq 2009-2010 returning soldiers beginning at 2pm.

10th Annual Clayton Lake Trout Derby
2 days of fun with adult and children prize categories given for trout. Prizes also given for biggest channel cat, bass, and walleye. Grand Opening of the Smithsonian Exhibit in Folsom, NM
New Harmonies, Roots of American Music, made possible by a grant designated a "We the People" project, by and from the New Mexico Humanities Council in conjunction with the Folsom Musuem. Featuring Bayo Seco, Jeanie McLerie and Kenneth Keppeler, from 10:00am-5:00pm with an education interpretation of their musical presentation.

Star Party at Clayton Lake State Park
Hamburger fry starting at 7pm at the observatory with a star party following at dark. Join in the fun and observe the Persius Meteor Shower. Donations will be accepted for the hamburger fry, proceeds will go towards a new sign put up at the lake designating it as a "dark sky park".
