The Clayton-Union County Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c) 6 non-profit organization. Businesses, professionals, industrial firms, and individuals in this organization are interested in the economic well being of this community. They are also concerned with the present, future and preserving the history of Clayton and Union County.
The Clayton-Union County Chamber of Commerce is organized to achieve the objects of : 1) promoting business and community growth and development, 2) promoting programs of a civic, social, and cultural nature which are designed to increase the functional and aesthetic values of the community, and 3) to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Union County area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper.
The Chamber's General Membership meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at Noon. The Chamber's Board meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month at Noon, the location varies.
The Chamber also is a tourist information center. There are brochures on almost every town in New Mexico along with others from Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. You can take pictures with the two dinosaurs out front or relax in our picnic area in the back.
The Chamber mails information to all 50 states, as well as several foreign countries. New residents to Clayton receive a Welcome To Clayton packet, which includes many different items donated by the local businesses.
