Situated among rolling grasslands near the historic Santa Fe Trail, the park features an astronomy observatory and one of the most extensive dinosaur trackways in North America. The 170 surface-area lake, partnered with NM Game & Fish, is a winter resting area for waterfowl when bird watching is superb. Boating and fishing allowed March-October.

The Center serves as a social gathering place and offers many services to eligible seniors. Open Mon.-Fri. 7am-3pm, Exercise Class: Mon.-Fri. 7am-8am, Meals served Mon.-Fri. from 12pm-1pm. Home delivery hours are from 11am-12:45pm. Recreation offered Mon.-Fri. 12:30pm-3pm. Bingo is the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Finger food at 5:30pm the 4th Tuesday of every month.

The VFW preserves and strengthens comradship among its members, assists worthy comrades and our local community, perpetuates the memory and history of our dead and assists their widows and children, maintains true allegiance to the Government of the U.S. and fidelity to it's Constitution & laws, fosters true patriotism, maintains and extends the institutions of American freedom, and preserves and defends the U.S. from all her enemies whom-so-ever. We also assist our community in any way we can help. We give scholarsips to our students and prizes to our younger students as they are our future generation.
